When it comes to Feng Shui House decorating, one aspect is the necessity for cleaner air in your environment indoors. To achieve balanced Chi, it’s important that you improve your home’s air quality. The main reason for this is because the air you’re breathing indoors is more damaging than outdoor air.
Indoor pollution can be a huge problem when you want to use good Feng Shui at your work place or at home. Getting consulting help, using the special Feng Shui Ba-Gua map or even the Feng Shui compass will not do you any good unless all things you are able to control are beneficial to you, which means having clean air indoors. The good news is that there are many inside plants that make the grade for purifying the air in your home to achieve the best possible Chi.
Before looking at a list of plants that will help you clean indoor air, you should understand why they are so necessary. You see, your home consists of many harmful indoor pollutants known as volatile organic chemicals or VOCs. If your home has carpet, synthetic products, plastic and even some plywood types at home, they actually break down over time releasing the volatile organic chemicals. There are certain plants that will help to purify the air.
Here is an abbreviated list of air purifying plants that will benefit your Feng Shui House:
1. Boston Fern - This lovely lush green plant is is excellent at getting rid of pollutants like formaldehyde in your home. These are beautifully popular plants that make a space extraordinary; however, they are high maintenance and require daily attention in order to thrive.
2. Rubber Plant - This is another great house plant which works to remove a variety of pollutants. The rubber plant is quite hardy and can stand up against low light and temperatures on the cool side.
3. Peace Lily - Popular during Easter, so you should go ahead and buy a few of these lovely plants that remove toxins in your indoors.
4. English Ivy - Formaldehyde in no match for the air purifying English Ivy. It’s easy to grow and helps to purify the air.
All of these plants do a good job at cleaning the air. However, it’s not a good Feng Shui House practice to use them in the bedroom. They put out a lot of energy, and you don’t want a lot of energy when trying to sleep. They can be used to clean the air and for Feng Shui decorating in other parts of your home, but keep them clear of the bedroom.
