You should select a place where your kid can get couple of fishes within 10 to 12 minutes because small child’s patience is very short. Keep in mind that what matters to the kids is not the appearance of the place but the amount of fish they’re going to catch.
3. Praise your kids for each fish they will catch. You really have to make a big deal out of it by perhaps taking a photo or video while they’re fishing. Then with the use of a table knife, teach your kids on how to clean the fish. Once your kid sees the connection from catching to cleaning to cooking, he will be hooked with fishing. Youngsters must definitely feel the enthusiasm of fishing.
4. Whenever your kids are already knowledgeable enough about fishing, bring them with you when you head for fishing. Teach him the importance of patience in fishing. Involve them in cleaning and cutting of fishes.
5. It certainly is so difficult to go fishing during the summer. Never take your kids to fishing if it’s summer particularly when the weather is too hot and there is no wind. Fishing on summer days would certainly erase the enjoyment in fishing and it’s never the time for you to bring your kids with you. Therefore, begin teaching your kids on how to fish when the weather is somewhat cold and comfy and then slowly bring them during a challenging weather similar to summer or super cold weather.
6. As soon as your kids are already experienced with fishing, give them their own hats, rod and reel, and also their own tackle box.
